The Remembered Story
Began With
Someone I Never Wanted
to Forget.

After losing my brother, Joe, I found myself thinking about everything I never wanted our family to forget—not the illness that took him from us, but the life he lived.

His love for his family. The land he worked so hard to build. Fishing. Music. The animals he cared for. The places he loved and the places he still dreamed of seeing.

I realized that a photograph can preserve how someone looked, but sometimes we want to preserve something more: the story of who they were.

That realization became The Remembered Story—a deeply personal way to bring photographs, memories, places, passions, dreams and meaningful details together into one portrait that tells the story of a life.

Because a life should never be reduced to how it ended. It should be remembered for how it was lived.

Why the Cardinal

After Joe passed, the cardinal became deeply meaningful to me. When one appears near my home—especially at the window—it feels like a quiet reminder of someone I love and never want to forget.

That personal connection inspired the cardinal that appears subtly throughout The Remembered Story. It isn’t meant to define what remembrance means for every family. Instead, it has become our quiet signature—a symbol of connection, memory, and the stories that remain with us.

Look for the cardinal. Remember the Story.
